Enhancement Software ("ESC") is now distributing StampIt4.0, an add-in for Microsoft® Word® 97/2000 and Corel WordPerfect® 7/8/9.  StampIt has been tested and approved by Microsoft as an Office Update and is available by download through Microsoft's Office Update program as well as being available by electronic software distribution (ESD) from ESC's new web site.   The latest version of this indispensable business utility (the first for Microsoft Word 97/2000) provides a long-overdue solution to document marking and identification.  StampIt ships with 58 pre-created, commonly used words and phrases in outline, shaded (watermark) and solid formats.   Word 97/2000 StampIt users can create their own words and phrases (in addition to the ones which come with the program) without any graphics ability.  Referring to the words and phrases as "stamps," each can be scaled, rotated and positioned anywhere on a page.  They dynamically resize for margins* depending on placement and paper size and StampIt supports color printing.  StampIt also does envelopes and signature blocks* as well as any size paper that Word 97/2000 prints. (*in Word only at this time)

Michael Ross, a principal in ESC said: "With StampIt, document marking and identification have reached a new level.  StampIt practically eliminates document misuse or confusion as well as the need for rubber or self-inking stamps.  It embeds the word or phrase in the text of the document at the time of printing on any or all pages, as desired.  The hollow and watermark words and phrases don't effect readability and insure document integrity and tracking.  StampIt is pure convenience and leaves a different impression on your colleagues and clients.  It’s a classic example of innovation replacing tradition.  And, Word users can create their own stamps almost instantly."   Ross noted that the average cost of one single-line 3/4" rubber stamp (e.g. "DRAFT") is about $7.00."

The user can decide which pages are marked and which are not -- providing high levels of document security and tracking (stamps can even be password protected or locked into documents).  The program automates the whole process and all words or phrases can be rotated, scaled and positioned to print on any printable portion of the page(s).  StampIt also provides the user with 8 common preset positions, e.g. left margin, top right, lower left, centered, centered and rotated 30 degrees, etc.  Users can also make "stamps" and watermarks out of their existing graphics or company logos.

Word 97/2000 or WordPerfect 7/8/9 users can print multiple copies of the same document, with different words or phrases on each copy, all in one print session. For example, StampIt can print 5 copies of a document: an un-stamped original, a copy with "FILE COPY", two copies with

"CLIENT COPY" and a "CHRON FILE" copy all at the same time and all collated. That feature does away with a lot of unnecessary and inconvenient trips to the copy machine.

StampIt can also "stamp" existing documents thus eliminating tedious hand stamping or marking.   It lets the user define and save sets of "stamps" eliminating the need for repeated individual selection of the same words and phrases. The user can also print an entire document while only marking selected pages.  The user can modify all 8 preset positions for any stamp.  StampIt can also collate the documents it stamps eliminating tedious sorting after printing.              StampIt for Word 97/2000 allows the user to create any graphic or text-based stamp of their choosing, in all three formats (hollow, shaded and solid) which automatically becomes part of the program. StampIt is not a TSR and does not use printer overlays or require any printer commands thus avoiding virtually all memory conflicts. It's all handled from a familiar Windows dialog menu while in any Word or WordPerfect document.

StampIt 4.0 is requires Word 97/2000 or WordPerfect 7/8/9, Windows 95/98/NT/2000 and virtually any printer. StampIt 3.0 is for WordPerfect 6.0a/6.1 for Windows and StampIt 2.0 for WordPerfect 5.1 DOS and 5.1/5.2 Windows are still available by special order only.

The Word 97/2000 and WordPerfect 7/8/9 are priced at $29.95 for a single copy license.  The price declines from there, depending on the quantity.  For more information, go to ESC's Web site at stampitnet.com.   If you would like a free trial version, click on the following link: Download Trialware.  NOTE:  If you want to extend StampIt’s trial or need any other type of recognized industry accommodation, please e-mail your request along with your StampIt serial number or call us.
