Document marking and identification is one of the primary components of a document management system.  While much has and is being made of the “paperless office” and electronic document management (EDM), the fact remains that it is resulting in “less paper” and not to a major degree.  Obviously, paper is not going away anytime soon.  (more…)

Paper or electronic document identification is often overlooked because it is assumed that the document will be maintained inside the office. The lack of identification becomes the rule rather than the exception. Sometimes, the use of a rubber stamps or a watermark on the document is assumed to adequately protect it. (more…)
